Despite a decrease in the number of visitors to the fair compared with other years, the firm is satisfied and optimistic with regard to the number of visits received at the stand shared with ITT Ceramic.

The professionals attending praised the material for its distinctive appearance and high performance, highlighting it as a solution for the future.

Cersaie 2021 has been one of the most atypical fairs in recent years. Despite the decline in the number of visitors confirmed by the organisation (around 63,000, i.e. 56% of those in 2019), Arklam takes a positive view of what was achieved last week in Bologna.

International visitors accounted for 38% of those attending and many professionals came to the company’s stand during the five-day event to learn first-hand about the latest collections of large-format sintered stone. Attention focused on its unique aesthetic qualities – with numerous stone, marble, cement and monocolour options – and its advanced technical features, ideal for the implementation of demanding architectural and interior design projects. The new lines seen by visitors include series such as Bateig Blue, Bateig Verona, Lilac and Calacatta Gold. Syrac was used to give an exclusive air to the reception area, while the external façade of the stand was covered with Rosa Persia.

At Cersaie 2021, Arklam was committed to displaying the material in its original size, focusing on all the details and finishes of the slabs, produced using cutting-edge technology and special inks. The exhibition area was also divided into two areas, one featuring 6 mm thick slabs, and the other displaying 12 and 20 mm thick slabs for use in kitchen projects.

According to Arklam CEO Rami Hamze, Cersaie has been a « highly positive experience for the brand », as it has been able to show its very latest products to « strategic customers in person« . «The result of this trade fair, and of those to come in the future, is, and will be, different from the ones that came before», he adds. «All the changes that have happened in the last year and a half have led to a very rapid transformation of our sector. I think that transformation is here now, and we are ready for this change. Our digital and face-to-face business model is the most important thing now», he concludes.

At Cersaie, Arklam has also emphasised its commitment to safety and sustainability. Thanks to its non-porous composition, large-format sintered stone has made its mark as one of the market’s leading aseptic, antibacterial and easy-to-clean materials. Reflecting its environmental awareness, Arklam has achieved a reduction in emissions and the use of natural resources in its manufacturing processes; and it is committed to reuse and the circular economy, more than 50% of its raw materials being recycled.

The 2021 edition of the Cersaie fair was marked by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the restrictions on international travel, which have particularly affected markets such as Asia, there has been a strong international presence with full safety guarantees. The successful policies implemented include the measures taken and demanded by the exhibitors and the Green Pass or vaccination certificate requested by the organisation at the entrance to the precinct.

The next edition of Cersaie will be held from 26 to 30 September 2022. See you then.
